CLOUD: 2020 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The 2021 CLOUD Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 20th October, starting at 7.30pm. To facilitate attendance from as many members as possible, the AGM will once again be held online. A link to join the Zoom meeting will be circulated before the meeting so that members can participate in the proceedings.

We encourage as many CLOUD members as possible to join the online AGM which has important decisions to make, including our ongoing campaign on housing developments in Lancaster. We will discuss what our next steps should be, following Lancaster City Council’s decision to approve the Housing Infrastructure Funding. We hope to agree a few key objectives to focus our activities on for the year ahead.

We will also elect the new Management Committee. A few of the present members of the committee have dedicated considerable time and energy to CLOUD over the last few years and are now wishing to stand back and take a less active role. We will therefore welcome all offers of assistance, whether on the committee or informally. Please consider if you are able to increase your involvement in CLOUD next year so that we can continue to build on our collective knowledge, expertise and resources and apply pressure on the council, planners and developers during what will be a very significant period for Lancaster's future.

1. Approval of the minutes of the last Annual General Meeting held on 22nd October 2020.

2. Report by the Chairperson on CLOUD’s activities over the year from October 2020.

3. Report by the Treasurer on CLOUD’s finances.

4. Election of the new Management Committee for the year to October 2022.

5. Next steps and key objectives for CLOUD.

6. Any Other Business.

7. Date of Next Meeting.

The reports by the Chairperson and Treasurer for agenda items 2 and 3 will be issued in a further Newsbrief.

Regarding agenda item 4 (Election of the new Management Committee) all of these posts are for election by CLOUD members at this AGM. The Management Committee comprises Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary, plus up to six other members. Any CLOUD member wishing to stand for any of these posts should submit their name before 13th October to the Secretary by email to cloudbgv2017@gmail.com.
