23 April 2018 North Lancashire CPRE update

The Lancaster Guardian (18 April 2018) carried a good report on Why Communities Say No, especially featuring Griff Rhys Jones views and of course Bailrigg garden village. I have uploaded a PDF to our website https://www.cloudbgv2017.co.uk/smartgrowthuk

CLOUD supporters and members might like to come and join the newly formed North Lancashire Group of CPRE. They are meeting:

Tuesday 24 April 2018 @7.30 Upstairs  Upstairs at: Robert Gillow, 64 Market St, Lancaster LA1 1HP.

These are the important issues that CPRE address:

Are you fed up with your Green Belt and green fields disappearing fast? Do you want to protect tranquil places, dark skies and hedgerows? Are you a supporter of outdoor livestock producton and local produce? Do you want to see brownfield land used first and our towns regenerated? Do you want to see less traffic on our roads and more Walking, cycling and public transport? Are you worried about Climate Change and Energy use? Would you like to see less electricity pylons in National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Beauty? Do you think litter and fly-tipping is spoiling our countryside? Thanks to Jan Taylor of Friends of Denny Beck and the Lune Valley Flood Forum for the energy she is putting into this. Do come along on Tuesday.
