CLOUD Newsbrief 1 9th November 2017

On 19 October 2017 there was a packed Inaugural AGM for CLOUD in the Cobblers’ Suite at the Boot and Shoe Scotforth. The meeting included discussion of the constitution, election of committee members and an expert panel, amendment of the constitution regarding the scope of CLOUD’s campaigning brief to add support for other local groups in the Lancaster area campaigning against unnecessary housing development.The meeting agreed to a letter writing campaign to raise our concerns with local and county councillors and the planners.

We have set up a CLOUD Facebook Page and a CLOUD Twitter Account.

Do please us follow us and share to help us spread the word. These complement the existing Galgate Community Action Group and Scotforth Residents Group and we will be working in collaboration with those groups.

Date for your diary 6.00pm 20 December 2017, Morecambe Town Hall. This is the full City Council Meeting that will debate the Local Plan and where we have a 5 minute speaking slot. We would like as many people as possible to attend to show our strength of feeling.
